Yeah, we did go to the desert (El Mirage dry lake). Had a great time, saw a beautiful sunset, rode bikes with the entire family, and used firewood from a trailer we're restoring.

Yup, the Shasta burn! Since then, we've had a Shasta Burn 2 and another trip out in the trailer. El Mirage was EMPTY. Perhaps the extreme heat, perhaps the new $15 day use.
