How to respond to various articles

I have tried in vain to respond to an article, but when I attempt to post it, I get this message that my logon id isn't valid. Yet, I just now registered and even changed my password. Any idea of what is wrong?

is this the log on that you tried to use in responding to the article?
I'm not sure what's wrong.
